Parish Council Meeting

The next meeting of the Parish Council will now be held on Thursday 30th January at 7.30 pm in the Reading Room. Everyone is welcome.  The Agenda can be found here.

Reading Room Public Works Loan Final Consultation

The Parish Council and Reading Room Trustees are delighted to be able to tell you that the village has voted overwhelmingly in support of a Public Works Loan application to help finance the renovation and extension of the Reading Room. More information can be found here.

Shipton History Project

If you would like to know more about the history of Shipton, we have launched a new site that should be of interest.

The site contains notes, photographs (some of which have recently been on display in the Reading Room) and a timeline that starts to tell the story of our village from the Iron Age up to the end of the last century.

In time we will incorporate the site into this website but in the meantime you can access the site from Shipton History Project page of this website or by clicking here or by cutting and pasting the address below into your web browser:
